About this book
The book For The Roots is written based on a cost-free doorstep health care program to facilitate more than ten thousand rural people, mostly students by a medical team of multidisciplinary, experienced physicians. It is a voluntary, non-profit, and self-funded initiative to serve humanity side by side with the government organizations to build a healthy, educated nation. The manuscript contains an excellent description of the medical camp activities, health awareness programs, including circumcision, ear piercing, training on first-aid boxes. Other initiatives are highlighted to improve nutrition, encourage tree plantation, improve the school environment, train on the self-protection of the rural students during the critical and challenging days of the COVID-19 pandemic. The collected data is analyzed, and the illustrations are presented in the form of figures, tables, and pictures. Moreover, it contains an elaborate discussion on benefits; limitations met while organizing and conducting free medical camps with a conclusion summarizing the achievements and meaningful suggestions. The content has been enriched with the citations for the common and critical cases, presented as a short but meaningful clinical message understandable to the general mass. As such, the book For The Roots has become unique documentation of humanitarian service provided to build a healthy next generation of Sonar Bangla.
